Email is the only way to reach us. Corrections and better sources are the messages we most want to get.

What to write about
- A wrong number, a broken source link or a safety statement you think is off. Include the page address and, if you can, a source that shows the right figure.
- A source we should use, such as a dataset, a spec sheet or an owner’s manual.
- Questions about a guide, a wattage page or the calculator.
- Manufacturers are welcome to send spec sheets and manuals. We don’t sell coverage, links or sponsored posts (see the editorial policy).
What we can’t help with
- Emergencies. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, get everyone outside and call 911. If someone feels sick, dizzy or weak while a generator is running, get to fresh air right away. Both instructions come from the CPSC; our carbon monoxide guide has the details.
- Reporting an outage. Contact your electric utility.
- Advice on wiring your own home. A licensed electrician has to see the panel, and the work has to meet local code.
