Lights On Labs has no cookies, ads, accounts or forms, and doesn’t track you around the web. This page covers the small amount of data that does get handled when you visit.

Lights On Labs operates lightsonlabs.com. For any question about this policy, email hello@lightsonlabs.com.
What we collect
Nothing through forms or accounts, because the site has neither. We don’t run analytics or advertising trackers. If we add analytics, we’ll choose a service that doesn’t use cookies and update this page before it goes live.
Fonts load from our own domain, so a visit doesn’t send requests to Google Fonts or any other font service.
Hosting
Cloudflare hosts the site. To deliver pages and block attacks, it handles the technical details every browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. Cloudflare’s use of that data is covered by its privacy policy. We don’t combine it with anything else or try to work out who you are.
The runtime calculator
The runtime calculator saves your appliance list and settings in your browser’s local storage, so they’re still there when you come back. They stay on your device and never reach us. The calculator’s Reset button clears them, and so does clearing this site’s data in your browser.
If you share a link to your setup, the settings travel inside the link, in the part after the # sign. Browsers don’t send that part to the server, but anyone you give the link to can see the settings.
If you email us, we get your address and whatever you write. We use them to reply and to fix anything you report. We don’t add you to a mailing list. Ask and we’ll delete your messages.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to sources, manufacturers and stores, which have their own privacy policies. We’re in the Amazon Associates program, so when you follow one of our Amazon links, Amazon may set a cookie on its own site to credit a sale to us. The affiliate disclosure lists the programs we belong to.
Selling or sharing data
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
Children
The site is written for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
